I joined the Machine Learning Group of the State Key Lab. of CAD&CG in 2009. It is a young group led by Prof. Xiaofei He and Deng Cai.

In Sep. 2009 when our team became bigger, the students are divided into three sub-groups: Theory Group, IRML (Information Retrieval and Machine Learning) Group and Application Group. I have been the student leader of IRML Group since then. Aside from usual discussion about research work, I organized weekly meeting for group study and progress reporting within the group.

Later in 2011, the Machine Learning Group is re-organized by dividing students into project-oriented sub-groups. I joined the Image Search Group and participated in the development of a distributed large-scale image search system.
